Short Biography

A seasoned and professional Administrator with over 15 years’ experience in various industries. She holds a Master’s Degree from Kenyatta University, MBA (Strategic Management), a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (HR) from KeMU and a Diploma in Secretarial Studies from Strathmore University. Currently serving at the University of Embu in the capacity of a Senior Administrator in the Department of Humanities, the Alternate Chairperson of the Environmental, Health & Safety Committee, secretary to the University staff choir committee and the Patron to the Environment Club. Her work revolves around addressing students’ academic issues (career guidance, postgraduate seminars, registration of units, credit waiver processing among other student requests), staff matters (employee relations, processing of staff requests and part-time payments), facilitation of the curriculum development process, planning and holding various departmental and committee meetings, writing reports and minutes. Other roles include departmental budgeting and procurement plans, risk register management and implementation of ISO Standards. Instrumental in organizing a successful International Conference at the University (decolonizing the spirit). Participates in environmental issues; policy, audit, clean up, tree planting and played a key role in organizing the National World Environment Day (2024) which was hosted by the University of Embu in joint partnership with NEMA and the County Government of Embu. Has also served within the University of Embu in the Senate Affairs Office and was in charge of managing the graduation attire. Previously served in the Industrial sector as a Marketing Officer, banking sector as Branch Secretary, TVET sector as a Trainer in Secretarial and Business Management courses and Principal of a Private College, and Kenya Methodist University as an Administrator.
A member of a registered NGO (TWILN) based in Embu. Has participated in fundraising to feed families during Covid-19 pandemic as well as supporting cancer patients at Embu Hospice, in partnership with Rotary Club, Embu.

Elizabeth is responsible and committed to achieving personal and work related objectives within formulated timelines. This she does with minimum supervision. She is keen on detail and values quality output. She endeavors to meet these through strategic/human resource management skills, up-to-date technological skills, and collaboration skills, diplomacy and formation of rich social and professional networks. Her achievements are founded on strong Christian values and a rich professional career background.
