Short Biography
I believe in innovation, actively utilizing knowledge and talent to provide quality standards, adapting and adopting to technological shifts, and having an open mind to ideas. I anchor my academic life to honesty and pursue a personal philosophical endeavor to be a listening mind open to learning that sustains logical articulation of ideas and provides feedback for optimal intellectual development with colleagues. To this end, following Socratic dialogue lends toward inquiry and response in discussion. I bring effective and efficient practical and analytical capacities from experiential and experimental training models. My professional service includes university teaching, projects, thesis, and dissertation supervisory, with an advanced education background and international NGO leadership. The keystones of the profile are as follows. Currently finalist Doctoral (History- Militarization of the child-Uganda) Kenyatta University; and holds double Masters Arts as follows: (a) Master of Arts in Conflict Transformation (2009: A Fulbright program on Africa Conflict Resolution). Capstone: "Integrating peace and security in development: Transforming conflict and traditional food production in Kenya" School for International Training, US (b) Master of Arts (history1994) Kenyatta University, Nairobi Kenya. On Teaching, undergraduate and graduate students at Kenyatta University have two track tenures (1989-98/2009- 2021), with evaluation averages above 90% in quality delivery for all assessments conducted. I am a founder member and editor of the Journal of Historical and Social Science Research. I have translated from English to Kimeru vernacular Language (Competent Curriculum) for Grades 1 and 3, which have already been approved by the Government of Kenya and are continuing in series to Grade 12. Other involvement Products include TV shows and contributions, and are active in Commonwealth Affairs, being one of its recent charter reviewers. I have represented International NGOs in peace and security forums: Scotland, Germany, UN- USA, Oslo, and Togo, including the Government of Kenya in UN, New York, adapting humanization measures in security policies. I have, furthermore, worked as a Norwegian Church Aid program Director in Kenya and as a Representative of Eastern Africa peace programs, covering over ten countries. Exposure to professional functions travels in Africa, Europe, and the USA. I look forward to using technology as a means and tool to advance independent, not dependent-minded learners with the capacity obtained from class and exposure to transfer them to the job market and or critical ways to create jobs.
