Short Biography
I hold a PhD in Kiswahili from Chuka University, Master of Arts (Kiswahili) from Kenyatta University and Bachelor of Education (Arts) from Egerton University (Kiswahili and Geography). Prior to joining the University of Embu, I was a lecturer at Kenya Methodist University where I served as Chairman, Department of Education. I also taught in various high schools in Kenya for more than a decade. As a career teacher, I mentored many young people through the Kenya Students Christian Fellowship (KSCF) where I served as a Regional Vice-chairman and Area Chairman. My co-curricular activities include poetry, drama and film production.
Research Interests: Kiswahili Literature, especially poetry and oral literature.
